The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology 

I am a licensed mental health counselor with a master’s degree from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology (2012–2015). Since 2016, I have worked in private practice, driven by a desire to help others improve the quality of their relationships, take up more relational space when needed, and step into difficult areas of life that are often neglected in our fast‑paced world. My goal is to provide a comfortable and supportive environment where clients can engage old problems in new ways.

 



Counselor

My early years as a therapist began in community mental health at Sound (Child & Family Services), where I worked with families, children, and teens. As a school‑based therapist, I met with students during the school day and partnered with families to process chaos within their systems, guiding them toward kinder, more constructive ways of engaging one another. 

I also had the privilege of working at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology with graduate students in the counseling practicum program. There, I helped students explore the patterns that emerge in group work—often rooted in roles and dynamics from their formative years. I deeply value the process of uncovering past themes that continue to shape the present.

On a personal note, I grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico, from ages 10 to 19. As a third‑culture kid (TCK), I experienced the challenges of living between worlds—navigating identity, belonging, and reverse culture shock upon returning “home.” It is extremely difficult to live between worlds and to not fully belong in either environment. These experiences also gave me a profound appreciation for cultural diversity, travel, and curiosity about people. To date, I have traveled to roughly 25 countries and spent a year living in Australia, further enriching my perspective on identity, resilience, and connection across cultures.
