Revenue & Growth
Enterprise Insurance Sales Executive
The opportunity
Own the enterprise sales cycle from opening carrier relationships to closing recurring-revenue agreements. We are looking for a seller who can independently create opportunities, build executive trust and move complex deals forward. Lead with Orion, and introduce Risk Radar and Eterna where customer needs and delivery readiness support them. This is a personal selling role, not a position centered on building a sales-management hierarchy.
What you'll do
- Originate and close carrier business. Build a qualified pipeline of U.S. insurers, open new accounts and advance existing opportunities through discovery, evaluation, procurement and contracting.
- Lead outcome-based discovery. Engage claims, special investigation unit (SIU), operations, actuarial, finance and technology leaders. Translate their priorities into a clear, evidence-based business case.
- Create a path from assessment to production. Structure paid retrospective assessments and pilots with agreed success criteria, stakeholders, decision dates and a credible commercial next step.
- Run disciplined deals. Maintain account plans, stakeholder maps, opportunity qualification, forecasts and next steps in the customer relationship management (CRM) system. Personally own negotiation and follow-through.
- Coordinate technical and commercial reviews. Bring in the appropriate specialists for demonstrations, data questions, security reviews and contract discussions without delegating ownership of the sale.
- Work with research and marketing. Direct the Sales Intelligence Analyst's account priorities and use creative and campaign support to deliver relevant, insurer-specific outreach.
- Own commercial continuity. Hand agreed scope and commitments to Solutions & Delivery. Retain commercial ownership of renewals and expansion while delivery leads implementation and ongoing customer outcomes.
What you bring
- 8+ years of relevant enterprise B2B sales experience, including a record of personally closing technology, analytics or complex services agreements with U.S. insurance carriers.
- Credible carrier relationships and practical knowledge of insurer buying structures, procurement, executive sponsorship and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
- Strong consultative selling, business-case development, negotiation and executive communication skills; able to explain both financial and operational value.
- Evidence of independently generating pipeline and progressing deals without relying on a large brand, extensive inbound demand or a large support team.
- Comfort with accurate forecasting, CRM discipline, ambiguity and hands-on execution in an early-stage business. Insurance-policy sales alone is not sufficient.
Also valued
- Experience selling claims technology, FWA, payment integrity, risk analytics, AI or workflow automation.
- Medicare Supplement, health insurance or SIU relationships; exposure to life, disability or long-term care is also valuable.
- Experience converting assessments or pilots into production subscriptions and expanding existing enterprise accounts.
Your first 90 days
- First 30 daysLearn the products and current opportunities; agree target accounts, qualification standards and a practical deal-review process.
- By 60 daysRun independent discovery, establish account-entry strategies and advance priority opportunities against documented customer next steps.
- By 90 daysDeliver a credible qualified pipeline and forecast, with assessment-to-production plans for active opportunities. Revenue expectations will reflect actual contract values and sales cycles.
How success is measured
Qualified self-originated opportunities, deal progression, recurring revenue, forecast quality, account expansion and reliable handoffs to delivery.
How you work with the team
Work directly with the CEO and give day-to-day direction to the Sales Intelligence Analyst. Partner with marketing, Solutions & Delivery and technical specialists. Do not promise unapproved functionality or implementation dates.
What to send
Include a resume and examples of insurer engagements you personally originated and closed. Be prepared to explain your role, the buying process, business case and obstacles overcome without sharing confidential customer information.
