The opportunity

Design the product experience across Orion, Risk Radar and the Longevity App. Three products, three very different users: an investigator working a queue of flagged claims, a plan's team reading risk across a cohort, and a member looking at their own health on a phone. We need a hands-on designer who can take each from a rough problem to a shipped screen, test it with the people who use it, and keep the three feeling like one company.

What you'll do

  • Own the product experience. Design the flows and screens for Orion's investigator workspace, Risk Radar's cohort views and the Longevity App, from first sketch to the build engineers ship.
  • Start from the user. Sit with investigators, plan teams and members; turn what you see into journeys, prototypes and decisions, and test them before they are built.
  • Make complex data readable. Design the queues, tables, timelines and charts that carry claims evidence and risk signals, so a reviewer sees what matters first.
  • Build the design system. Maintain one system of components, tokens and patterns in Figma that the web and mobile apps share, with accessibility built in.
  • Work inside the build. Pair with the full-stack and AI engineers in React, Next.js and React Native; review what ships against the design and close the gaps.
  • Design for trust. Handle health data, consent, AI-prepared cases and human decisions with care: clear states, plain language, nothing hidden.
  • Measure what you ship. Define what good looks like for a flow, instrument it with engineering, and change the design when the numbers say so.

What you bring

  • 5+ years designing software products that shipped, with a portfolio showing the problem, your process and the result.
  • Strong UI craft: layout, type, color, interaction and motion, and the judgment to keep interfaces plain under dense information.
  • UX research you have run yourself: interviews, usability tests, journey mapping, and the habit of writing down what you learned.
  • Figma at a production level, including components, variables and prototypes, and comfort handing off to engineers who build in React and React Native.
  • Experience with data-heavy or regulated products (healthcare, insurance, finance) and the accessibility standards that come with them.

Also valued

  • Designing for AI-assisted workflows: explanations, confidence, review states and human approval.
  • Enough HTML and CSS to prototype in code or adjust a component yourself.
  • Mobile design for people who are not daily app users, including older adults and caregivers.

Your first 90 days

  1. First 30 daysLearn the three products and meet their users; audit what exists and write down the first ten things to fix.
  2. By 60 daysShip the first redesigned flow in Orion or the app with engineering, tested with real users, and start the shared design system.
  3. By 90 daysOwn the design system in use across web and mobile, with a research cadence and a roadmap of flows agreed with product and engineering.

How success is measured

Task completion and time to decision in the investigator workspace, member activation and return visits in the app, accessibility conformance, and how little rework engineering does after handoff.

How you work with the team

Product leadership owns the roadmap. Partner with the full-stack and AI engineers on what gets built and how, with Solutions & Delivery and Client Support on what customers ask for, and with Brand & Creative Marketing so product and brand look like one company. No direct reports.

What to send

Include a resume and a portfolio with two or three case studies, your part clearly stated. Be prepared to walk through one flow end to end: the research, the options you rejected, what shipped and what you measured.
